Marketnode is Asia-Pacific’s trusted blockchain-powered financial market infrastructure (FMI) backed by HSBC, SGX Group and Temasek. We believe in the power of programmable assets and believe traditional financial instruments can be originated, traded and served better leveraging blockchain technologies. Our current product focus is funds, credit and structured products with a view to expand these offerings in-line with market demands.

At Marketnode, we operate two flagship platforms:

  • Gateway an end-to-end platform encompassing data, workflow, tokenization and asset servicing
  • Fundnode a one-stop funds settlement infrastructure for transaction management, funds processing, and record-keeping

Having recently closed our Series A investment with major financial institutions such as HSBC, Marketnode is now well positioned for it’s next growth phase and is looking for a Head of Digital Assets, leading overall product and commercial efforts for the Gateway platform to deliver a true marketwide digital FMI out of Asia.

Job requirements

  • Planning & execution: Develop and implement digital asset unit’s strategic plan in alignment with company’s objectives
  • Market scanning: Identify market opportunities across funds, credit, structured products and other real-world assets (RWA) allowing for new business capture and cross-selling into existing accounts
  • Business unit growth: Drive revenue growth and manage overall P&L for the business unit, while managing overall resource planning process to ensure timely delivery
  • Partnerships: Develop strategic partnerships and alliances (banks, asset managers and financial market infrastructure players) to drive business growth
  • Customer relationship management: working together with commercial leads to build and maintain strong relationships with key institutional clients
  • Team leadership: Lead, mentor and develop a high performing team covering product and commercially focused individuals
  • Performance management: Setting performance and delivery targets to ensure full alignment with business strategy
  • Reporting & communication: As primary spokesperson for the business unit, reporting on business unit performance to executive team, board of directors and other internal/external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years working in a product or commercial role at fintech/platform, bank, asset management or financial intermediary with direct experience in digital assets in production (i.e. smart contracts, ledger technologies)
  • Proven experience in a management role working with cross-functional teams (especially technology)
  • Track record of leading teams and achieving profitability in new businesses
  • Good understanding of digital asset landscape (i.e. smart contracts, ledger technologies) and at least one of fixed income, structured products or funds
  • Strong senior partnerships within financial institutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
